If you are unfamiliar with HTML coding and how all the Tags work within your WebPage please follow this following information to the letter otherwise you could ruin your html document, the following tutorial is designed for those with no knowledge on how to write HTML and you will have no problems provided you do as stated…

Text Editor
First of all you need a plain text editor of some description if you are on a windows machine windows notepad will do, this program is usually located in your accessories menu unless you have moved it, otherwise there are a lot of very good free text editors on the Internet and you are sure to find one that best suits your operating system so it's a case of acquiring one if you do not have one!!! And will be useful for you in the future for other tasks other than your counter so it is a worthwhile exercise to get one, we also have a FREE Text editor on our free downloads page you may wish to try.... it's for windows machines and it will handle larger files than notepad and is located HERE …

So lets put your counter on your WebPage…

With your chosen plain text editor open the html document you wish to edit, this is usually called index.htm or default.htm, when loaded into your editor it should look something like this:

Of course there will be lot's more code than the example above and usually more than completely necessary but all pages even yours has this basic format now we need to insert the code for your counter, so using the cut and paste exercise we did earlier log on to Globel and in your control panel on our site select "get HTML code" as we did before with the cut and paste method above cut the code displayed in the box in it's entirety then minimize your browser, then go to your text editor with your web page loaded into it and paste the code into your page as shown below…

As shown above paste this code before the tags located right at the bottom of your page in the editor and after anything else in that page, when this is done save the html document and upload to your server and to check it go to that WebPage in your browser "remember to refresh your screen" your counter should now be working on your page…

That's it...

This tutorial is based as a guide to help users install their web counter on their web pages and does not profess to be a complete fix to every problem you could encounter, so as always be careful with your work we cannot accept responsibilities for mistakes you make with your work and if you are unsure of what you are doing we advise strongly against using this tutorial…

If you still have problems with this then we can do it for you free of charge but please give it at least 48 hours before we return the page back to you, additionally even in these circumstances we cannot accept responsibly for your web page…

What you need to do…
Attach your web page to an Email, PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE GRAPHICS, in that Email explain briefly what you would like us to do, and enclose your Username and password we will then do all the above for you and return the page with the counter on it, you will still need to upload this page to your servers and test it accordingly…
