Change The Counter Colour

Q: Can I change the colour of my counter?

A: In your control panel there is a colour wizard this takes you through the steps of changing the way your counter looks and feels on your WebPage, this Is always open suggestions and will improve over time but is easy to navigate, we welcome any new suggestions or criticisms to improve this…

This Wizard uses the simplest form of Java code we could get away with so it should work fine in most browsers; if however you have a browser that it does not perform that well then please tell us… the Java is backed up with Perl, so if the java does not work for you "Perl will" and it is a bit more of a pain but you will have to manually put the hex codes in the text box and advance one view to preview, we will put more info on hex codes in the FAQ shortly…

Wizard before you start…
The wizard will take you through the steps of converting the looks of your counter and is a relatively straightforward task, if you make a mistake at any point just click back on your browser, nothing will be saved until you click save at the very end of the wizard itself and you can exit at any point without saving…

This wizard uses the Netscape 216 websafe colour scheme; these are colours that are considered to be the best used in all browsers and are the safest bet to ensure your piece of work looks the same to everyone no matter what browser they are using, you can however use other colours if your familiar with their respective hex codes…

This is how the colour chart looks; each time you click on this chart in the wizard the background of the WebPage will change to the selected colour to give you a better idea of the colour itself…

Please remember that this wizard makes changes to your pasting code found in your control panel, so when finished you will need to get your new counter code and paste it into your WebPages again…

At any point on these FAQ or within the tutorials you do not understand something, or there is a confusing reference somewhere please tell me, and the reference will be put right…

Wizard Counter border and size…

There are currently only two options here the first one being...

1. A check box to state if you require a border or not if this is left unchecked you need do nothing else and any value in the size box will be ignored, however if this box is checked you will need to enter a value into the size box…

2. Size box, this can be any number from 0 to 9. This alters the size of the border around the counter itself, as shown below, checking the box above is the same as entering 0 into this box, so a number between 1 and 9 is preferred to do anything at all, below the three examples show you the counter with no border, the counter with a border size of 4 and a counter with a size of 9...
